Like all Extralite hubs they pay special attention to the axle - the HyperBoost gets a 17mm multishaped to reduce twisting loads and produce a more responsive feel, plus the straight pull flanges are pushed way out to maximise bracing angles - basically you get one of the stiffest wheels plus a massive reduction in rotational weight.
